After my ticket said Cinema 3 and it was actually Cinema 2 (annoys me so much, frustrating and a waste of time) I sat down to watch Ben Hur. There were some very good actors especially Jack Huston and Toby Kebbell. I really liked some of the directing choices like when Judah is racing and the camera goes underneath it. My only problem with this film was the amount of violence it had. Some may have been needed but some of it wasn't needed. I got to a point where I wasn't sure how much more of it I could take during the rowing sequence.

ReplyDeleteActually that must have been kind of funny to sit through the shorts and then find you were in the wrong place! Did other people also get tricked? Was there a stampede to change rooms? Did you miss any of the movie or did you find out in the nick of time? Oh, and what was the rating: did you feel they had prepared you for violence or not? I also hate seeing people hurting people: once upon a time it would all happen off screen but now they want us to see every detail: yuk.
